Born and raised in Culver City, California, Dr. Castro received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California before graduating Summa Cum Laude with her master’s in public health from Southern New Hampshire University. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry from Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville, Kentucky, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. While in her final year of optometry school, she completed several rotations in treating and managing ocular disease.
