Item 8.01 Other Events.

On May 15, 2008, First Interstate BancSystem, Inc. received notification from its independent appraiser that the minority appraised value of its common stock, as of March 31, 2008, was $84.75 per share, an increase of $1.25 per share from the previous valuation received February 15, 2008 for the value of the common stock as of December 31, 2007.
