American Technology Services (ATS), in partnership with United Youth of America Inc. (UYOA) and the City of Atlanta Worksource Development, announces significant progress in establishing an initiative aimed at developing a strong talent pipeline for IT and cybersecurity roles. This initiative offers individuals, starting with a high school diploma, the opportunity to launch careers in technology while addressing the growing demand for skilled IT professionals.

This partnership reflects ATS, UYOA, and the City of Atlanta’s shared commitment to cultivating a diverse and capable workforce while creating transformative opportunities for individuals from underserved communities.

Program Overview: A Collaborative Effort

The initiative will feature UYOA’s "earn as you learn" model, where selected candidates participate in a structured apprenticeship program that combines classroom instruction with hands-on experience. UYOA will provide classroom training, offering certifications in areas such as CompTIA, EC-Council, and customer service skills.

ATS will provide real-world work experience necessary for participants to apply their knowledge. Apprentices will receive mentorship and on-the-job training, with the potential for permanent employment upon successful completion of development milestones. "This partnership is not just about filling positions; it's about giving individuals a real chance to succeed in the IT industry," said Dee Alvarez, executive recruiter at ATS. "The goal is to equip them with the skills needed for full-time roles at ATS if development milestones are met."
