Frontier Airlines plane has fiery landing at Las Vegas airport

A passenger at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas caught the landing of a Frontier Airlines flight from San Diego on fire during landing.

A Frontier Airlines plane that flew from San Diego to Las Vegas was caught on camera with flames and smoke shooting out of its undercarriage during landing.

Frontier Flight 1326 left San Diego International on time at 1:51 p.m. on Saturday, according to flight tracking website FlightAware. The Airbus A321neo landed at Harry Reid International Airport 37 minutes late, at 3:37 p.m.

"Caught me by surprise," X user @TylerHerrick, who posted the video on social media, said. "Firefighters sprayed the aircraft with foam, according to @liveatc they'll be evacuating by stairs (not blowing any slides)."

While Frontier did not immediately respond to a FOX Business inquiry, the airline posted to X that pilots detected smoke during landing and declared an emergency.

"The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew were evacuated via airstairs," Frontier said in a statement. "No injuries were reported, and passengers have been bussed to the terminal. There were a total of 190 passengers and 7 crew members on board."

The airline added that the cause of the fire is under investigation.

FRONTIER AIRLINES SAYS ITS FACING 'WIDESPREAD ABUSE' OF WHEELCHAIR SERVICE

Frontier made headlines back in August, when video surfaced of a woman getting into an altercation with airline employees, even going as far as to throw computer equipment at them in Chicago.

The 31-year-old suspect was caught on video in a staff area behind a check-in counter, engaged in a verbal altercation with two women, ages 24 and 40, before knocking over various items on a desk.

The traveler who caught it all unfold told Storyful the woman "lost it" after missing her flight.

Earlier that same month, a Frontier Airlines pilot was arrested, resulting in a flight cancelation at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, authorities confirmed to Storyful. The pilot, identified by the Houston Police Department as 45-year-old Seymour Walker, was wanted on an assault-family violence warrant.

Video captured by one of the passengers showed Walker being escorted off the plane by three officers while he was in handcuffs being led to a patrol car. He was taken into custody before any passengers boarded Flight 3195 heading to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
