The indie fantasy comic book franchise recently launched the first two issues of its Kane comic book series in partnership with Double Down Pictures. Kane follows a small-town guy who is pushed into a world-changing journey of discovery, self-exploration, and brutal combat.

Kane Comic Universe’s recently released series offers young adults the chance to experience positive action-driven storytelling and happy-ending escapism.
The story of Kane unfolds over a period spanning thousands of years. The first issue opens with the title hero living a quiet and normal life in a small town. But when the ownership of the mining company he works for changes, he must suddenly confront evil forces and adapt to survive. In the ensuing struggle, he starts to learn the truth about his family’s past, setting the stage for epic battles against demons, creatures, and other adversaries, from Ancient Greece to Modern Day.
The Kane comic book series is geared toward young adults who are either already into comic books or just getting into them. The complex stories pull elements from multiple genres, including action, fantasy, adventure, and historical fiction. It also plays to the film and video game crowd, taking inspiration from 90s action and fantasy movies as well as video games like Assassin’s Creed, Uncharted, and Halo.
The first two issues of Kane are now available on the Kane Comic Universe website. They are also selling Kane merchandise to raise awareness about the franchise, including hoodies, coffee mugs, and organic tote bags.
The creative team behind the comics has material planned for release through 2025 and beyond, including a massive comic book event scheduled for 2024. Issue #3 will be released in 2023.
The Kane creative team is headed by Writer and Creator, Will Meldman, who also works as a producer in the entertainment industry. He is joined by his business partner, Star and Co-Creator Brock O’Hurn. The team is rounded out by Patrick Blaine (Pencils), Dinei Ribeiro (Colors), Andy Owens (Ink), and Zen (Letters). Double Down Pictures LLC produces the comic book.
