TruLaw Is Now Investigating Claims That Social Media Damages Mental Health in TeenagersThose who have used Facebook or Instagram and subsequently sought mental health treatment may be eligible for a lawsuit.

Recent studies and reports from Facebook employees have shown that social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram can contribute to negative mental health effects in teenagers and young adults. In light of this information, TruLaw is launching an investigation into potential legal action against Facebook for putting teens at risk for mental health conditions or otherwise contributing to harmful mental health impacts.

A study from the University of Pennsylvania found that mental health problems decreased dramatically when they limited time spent on their social media platform of choice. The study showed a link between social media use and increased levels of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues in teenagers. These findings are compounded by reports from Facebook employees who have raised concerns internally about the company’s role in causing harm to its teen users.

As a team of lawyers dedicated to protecting the rights and well-being of individuals, TruLaw is now actively investigating potential legal action against Facebook (Meta) for its role in damaging the mental health of teenagers. Jessica Hoerman, the founder of TruLaw, says, “We believe that no company should profit from causing harm to its users, especially vulnerable populations like teenagers. We will do everything in our power to hold Facebook accountable for any negligence or deliberate actions that contribute to mental health issues in teens.”

“If you or someone you know has experienced negative effects on their mental health as a result of using social media platforms like Facebook or Instagram, please visit TruLaw.com for an instant case evaluation. Together, we can fight for justice and hold companies accountable for the harm they cause. Our teens deserve better,” Hoerman says.
