In their recent report, FederalTaxCredits.org explains how non-profit organizations such as churches can now claim ERTCs regardless of prior financial support they have received, such as from the Paycheck Protection Program or PPP.

The company’s new report comes as the deadline for applying for ERTC comes closer, meaning church leaders need to check their eligibility and submit their applications soon to prevent losing out on their organization’s owed support.

During the pandemic, many churches and non-profit organizations were forced to make difficult sacrifices to reduce the financial impact of their operations. Furthermore, as more government support became available, church leaders who obtained past PPP loans were initially unable to participate in the newer grant programs. This restriction was, however, overturned, and those who received past support are now able to apply and receive ERTC.

Despite this change in the ruling, many church ministers are unaware of the financial support that is now available to them. FederalTaxCredits.org is helping raise awareness of these changes to enlighten and support non-profit organizations in obtaining the funding they need to recover from the pandemic.

As the report explains, churches can be eligible for up to $26,000 per employee depending on factors such as employment duration and the number of full-time workers in their organization. Readers of the report can also find an online eligibility checker that can help them see how much they may be able to claim.

The report also provides a complete breakdown of the various eligibility criteria and checks that are made for ERC applicants to help readers have a better understanding of the process.

FederalTaxCredits.org is dedicated to helping businesses across all industries learn more about ERTCs and their availability. The website has a range of resources and industry-specific content, as well as a team of ERTC tax credit experts who can assist business owners with checking and applying for their owed financial support.

A spokesperson for the company said, “There is a widespread misconception that tax-exempt organizations are ineligible for a fully refundable government tax credit like ERC, and this is certainly not true.”
