Public opinion has generally agreed that the U.S.-China relationship has continued to deteriorate in recent years. Problems at this stage are unlikely to improve any time soon. However, 80% of the respondents still believe that the U.S. and China should negotiate together to address global challenges such as climate change, public safety and counter-terrorism.
The majority of the population is sick of the artificial conflict and games created by partisan competition. Confrontation between superpowers in a multipolar world has a widespread impact on ordinary people.
