3M Co. said last month that Aearo Technologies, a subsidiary that produced military earplugs that have drawn injury claims from hundreds of thousands of veterans, would file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as part of an effort to resolve the lawsuits. Plaintiffs are trying to thwart the tactic.
