Cancer Charity Has Gone to the Dogs

During the current global crisis, The Cure Starts Now has been taken over by their Furry Friends

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cincinnati, OH | March 27, 2020 — In respect of social distancing, The Cure Starts Now has gone to the dogs…literally!  Our furry friends have decided to help out and do a total takeover to help kids battling cancer.  Starting Friday, March 20th, some amazingly creative dogs will be taking over with their own fundraisers, marketing campaigns and social media.

The dogs are working hard every day on the Cure Starts Now social media accounts by adding fun photos and videos of fellow pups helping to fight cancer.  On Tuesday, March 24th, some innovative dogs even hosted LIVE pup-culture trivia on Facebook.

“It may be ruff for a while, but we appreciate the helping paw.  Even through the pandemic, kids are still battling cancer and need organizations like The Cure Starts Now to fund lifesaving research,” said Brooke Desserich, the Executive Director of The Cure Starts Now.  “Though we are respecting the current needs of the community, our dedication and focus is, and always will be, on cancer families who will continue to live in this same type of health crisis long after this pandemic is gone.”

The Dogs V Cancer Takeover has been a huge hit with cancer patients around the world providing some interactive ways cancer patients can become involved.  It is also helping to provide families facing difficult cancer diagnosis a respite from the stress that the current environment has caused, so the decision to turn to our furry friends to help out during this difficult time seems only natural.

Fundraisers are already in place at www.dogsvcancer.org where our pooch pals can get a fashionable bandana to support kids battling cancer.
