Modena, May 5, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - A superb cooking class, dinners for two in highly acclaimed restaurants, bottles of the original Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI: these are the prestigious prizes for the winners of #theoriginalcontest (www.originalbalsamicvinegar.eu/contest), organized by Consorzio Tutela Aceto Balsamico di Modena (Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena) in the United States.

The contest, part of the campaign "Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original", will be open to the States of Florida, New York, and California* starting Wednesday, May 15, 2019. There will be two phases of the contest and 10 winners in total challenging each other's culinary creativity using Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. For the first-place prize a cooking class; for the second and third place price a dinner for two in a highly acclaimed restaurant and also a dinner for two in a highly acclaimed restaurant for the third-place prize. From the fourth to the tenth-place winners each will receive a supply of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.. 

In the first phase of the competition, contestants must correctly answer the three questions present on the dedicated webpage www.originalbalsamicvinegar.eu/contest from Wednesday, May 15 until Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Fifty contestants that have correctly answered all three questions will be randomly selected for the second phase of the contest. In the second phase of the competition the chosen contestants will submit a unique recipe using the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena that they will have received. The 10 best recipes will be submitted to the four official judges of the contest who will determine the winners: Aran Goyoaga, @cannellevanille,  Seattle-based, Basque Country born and raised, author, food stylist and photographer, Adrianna Adarme, @acozykitchen, LA author, recipe maker, photo taker and author, Bella Karragiannidis, @ful.filled, photographer, recipe developer, stylist and workshop host from Northern California, and Judy Kim,@judy.kim, a New York based food stylist, recipe developer, recipe tester, recipe columnist and contributor.

The judges will be carefully evaluating the recipes with the following criteria: recipe accuracy, product inclusion, proper utilization of ingredients and compatibility, presentation, portion size, creativity, practicality, and image submitted.  For all of the contest rules please visit www.originalbalsamicvinegar.eu/contest.

#theoriginalcontest is one of the many activities of the campaign "Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original" in the United States. The campaign aims to develop consumer consciousness, recognizing the difference between protected products over counterfeit and deceptive ones. Launched in 2017 and ending in 2020, the campaign is co-financed by the European Union, with the goal of promoting the PGI product in terms of authenticity, safety and traceability.
