Powerlifter and Charity Founder, Kris Rotonda, To Prove Strength of His Conviction To Feed Shelter Dogs By Flipping 250-Pound Tractor-Trailer Tire For 13 Miles In Fund-Raising Event

On April 27-29, the founder of Jordan's Way will drag, flip, and push a tractor-trailer tire the distance of half a marathon to raise money and awareness for his national charity that delivers one year of dog food to animal shelters in need.

CLEARWATER, FL, April 25, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- From April 27 to April 29, Safety Harbor resident, Kris Rotonda, will be participating in a herculean challenge in an effort to raise money for his charity, Jordan's Way.

A long-time bodybuilder and powerlifter, Rotonda has committed to flipping, pulling, and pushing a 250-pound tractor trailer tire for a distance of 13 miles — from Contour Fitness in Palm Harbor to Clearwater Beach — to demonstrate his dedication to raising money to feed shelter dogs across the United States through his charity.

Jordan's Way is named after Rotonda's dog, Jordan, who passed away in October 2018 from cancer. A shelter dog for three years until he rescued her 11 years ago, the charity was started in honor of Jordan's struggle before being adopted by Rotonda. Its mission is to help ensure that no shelter dog goes hungry. Rotonda has been training for his tractor-trailer-tire fund-raising event for more than six months.

"It may sound crazy, but I have been training my body not to stop. I want people to witness something that shows the power of the love I had for my dog. Jordan did more for me than any human I've ever known. Yes, I have strength from years of bodybuilding and powerlifting, but my love for her is what will push me past the pain and drive me to succeed," Rotonda explained.

Donations to the charity will go toward Rotonda's end goal of raising three million dollars to be able to provide a year's worth of dog food to animal shelters in the United States that request his assistance. The event will be streamed live on numerous Facebook pages, including many shelter pages as well as the charity's own, for the 25 to 30 hours that it may take to complete. Rotonda says he hopes that everyone who watches or hears about the event will support his efforts by at least donating $1 toward feeding and saving the lives of shelter dogs that are waiting for someone to find them like Rotonda found Jordan.

Since being founded in December 2018, Jordan's Way has already delivered one year's worth of dog food to more than 100 shelters in the United States and Canada.

Jordan's Way Charities Corporation is a 501c3 non-profit organization operated with the sole purpose of raising funds to feed shelter dogs throughout the United States. The company's mission is to be able to provide a full year's worth of dog food to every animal shelter that needs assistance in providing a haven for neglected, abandoned, or surrendered dogs until they can find a "forever home."

The corporation was founded in December 2018 by Kristopher Rotonda as a tribute to his dog, Jordan, who passed away in October of 2018. Jordan was rescued by Kris eleven years ago after spending the first three years of her life in a shelter.
