Writer, producer and action cinema legend, Bey Logan (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny), and James Nan (Five Element Killer, The Dark Soul, Lady Detective Shadow)have taken the U.S. by storm with Hong Kong action films, with the digital releases of Lady Detective Shadow in March and the much-anticipated VIXEN – set to digitally stream this May from DarkCoast, TriCoast Worldwide’s horror label.
Directed by pro-action cinematographer, Ross W. Clarkson (Kickboxer series), VIXEN is a femme-centric Hong Kong action film following a Chinese security expert, who fights a lone battle against a European criminal gang inside a locked down convention centre.
Shot in Yuhuan, a county-level city of Taizhou, VIXEN follows an elite criminal team who hijacks the world’s tallest building, holding inside its walls a massive, high-tech international conference. With the building under lockdown, a lone Chinese security expert, Sunny Liu (Li Ran) must fight as one woman against the battle of intruders. Sunny must use all her courage, intelligence and martial arts prowess to outwit, outlast and outfight the terrorists. She’s beautiful, she’s deadly, and she always knows – a woman’s work is never done.
Africa’s most famous Chinese martial arts expert, Luc Bendza, who graduated from Beijing’s prestigious Sports University, plays the film’s Machiavellian main villain. VIXEN stars former stuntwoman, Li Ran (‘Sunny’), who shows off top-notch fight sequences and explosive action skills.

The star-studded slate continues with 13-time winning actor, Bryan Larkin (Dead End, Outlander, Chasing the Dragon), two-time winner for ‘Best Supporting Actor’, Julian Gaertner (Dead End, Chasing the Dragon, Ghost in the Shell), Jai Day (Transformers, Pacific Rim: Uprising, The Expendables 2), Max Repossi (Vengeance 2), Jared Robinsen (Baywatch, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Condemned).
