IPPTS Associates today reflected on its first of DSEAR Risk Assessment Service consultancy commission 10 years ago when first applying the ESA (Environmental Services Association) ICoPs (Waste Industry Landfill Codes of Practice). A commission for a service which was in development for 3 years (2006 to 2009). The main aim was always to deliver waste industry DSEAR risk assessments of high-value, prepared by an experienced landfill engineer with in experience explosion-incident investigation and reporting.
IPPTS Associates’ Steve Last was a Member of UK Waste Management (Landfill) Industry Working Group which created of the Environmental Services Association (ESA) Landfill Industry Codes of Practice (ICoPs) with experience-based interpretation of real-life gas explosion related risks. At the same time they were applying established Waste Management and Landfill/ Landfill Gas Extraction and Utilisation Industry practice in the UK and Europe.
