Softros Systems Unveils an Instant, Serverless, and Secure LAN Messaging Program

17th April, 2019 - Gaining a competitive advantage in a fast-paced technological world is all about creating the tools and products that will givethe company the edge they seek against their competitors.  Softros Systems endeavors to make this possible with their newest invention, the Softros LAN Messenger.

What is the Softros LAN Messenger?

This messenger refers to a secure and an instant serverless LAN messaging program designed specifically for communications from one user to another and between a user and a group, as well as file exchange taking place between and through the corporate networks like WAN, LAN, VPN, and VLAN.

This LAN messenger boasts dual functionality in that it comes as a conversation-like LAN chat room for multiple users while also working as a classic single-message exchange that comes with an offline messaging capability. For this to happen, all messages that pass through the network are secured by an AES encryption algorithm. For group broadcasts, this system works in a way that the messages sent allow the dispatch of notifications to all the users of the system or even a selected group of people about an event.

Then there is the office instant messenger program that can log messages to a local computer or a centralized file server, preventing loss of information.

The other feature of this Softros LAN Messenger is that it doesn’t require internet connection since it works within the WAN or LAN networks. The upside of this configuration is that employees no longer have to waste time chatting via the internet-based IMs. Therefore, saving on the company's internet bandwidth. But that is not all; this setup also enhances the security of the network and data by minimizing the risk of firewall breaches which could otherwise make these systems susceptible to IM Worms and attacks.

Supported Systems

Some of the functions supported by this messenger include the Microsoft Active Directory and the Citrix /Microsoft Terminal Services. The latter include the XenApp and the RemoteApp application virtualization technologies.

Desktop sharing functionality

The Softros LAN Messenger also comes with a desktop sharing functionality which makes it possible for users to request for remote assistance. Thanks to this functionality, the person on the other end of the communication will connect to the desktop where the request originated and perform requested functions like configuration of Windows, resolving technical issues or installing an application.
