VISTA, CALIF. – Brothers Mike and Anthony Sarain along with co-owners Dan and Catherine Roper named their corporation Terramar Restaurant Group after the neighborhood and surf break where they grew up. Their lives parallelled for many years of surf, skateboard and ski adventures eventually creating a television surf show together called Wavelength in the early eighties. Unknown to Mike, his brother Anthony lived his childhood, steeped in music, just miles from him right here in San Diego. That is a fantastic story we will reveal as the weeks unfold… Meanwhile, during this time Dan and Mike worked at the Oceanside Charthouse with another lifelong friend Jeff Piccirillo who grew up on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii, and came to San Diego’s North County in the late 1970’s. As you will find out, his story is an interesting and locally connected one as well. Jeff is now the Executive Chef of the newly opened WildWood Crossing restaurant. The North County American Fusion restaurant and music venue is in Vista, where most of their extensive circle of beach buddies now reside!

Intentionally pairing great food, drinks, music and art in the venue, the friends aim to create an experience that is unique and nimble. Roper says, “That’s the magic of our place. Unlike big chain restaurants, our desire is to sense and be flexible to our guest’s changing interests.” To adapt and dazzle rather than dictate and stagnate. The restaurant will offer weekly menu specialties, happy hours, nightly live music and karaoke, book signings, local artist exhibits, and more.
