• Energy-Efficiency Leadership: KB Home’s 2023 national average Home Energy Rating System^® (HERS) Index score was 46, which is 54% more efficient than a typical home built in 2006 and underscores the company's longstanding commitment to helping homebuyers lower their utility bills and preserve natural resources. Additionally, KB Home has built over 190,000 high-performance ENERGY STAR^® certified homes since 2000, more than any other national homebuilder, cumulatively saving homeowners an estimated $1.2 billion in utility bills and avoiding 7.4 billion pounds of CO₂ emissions.
• Promoting Water Resiliency: The company constructed a record-high number of WaterSense^® labeled homes in all its new communities across the southwestern U.S. to help support the region’s long-term water resilience.
