Metronet Boosts Berea with Symmetrical, Multi-Gigabit Speeds Up to 10 Gigabits

Service upgrades Now Available

Metronet today announced that residents and businesses throughout Berea are the first in the state to have access to even faster internet speeds with Metronet’s ultra-high-speed multi-gigabit service. In addition to Metronet’s current offerings of 1 gigabit per second, residents may now access speeds up to 2 gigabits; businesses may choose speeds up to 10 gigabits. All Metronet speeds are symmetrical, which is vital for high quality video conferencing, gaming and online learning.

The updates to multi-gigabit speeds were made with no disruption to the current Berea infrastructure. Those interested in upgrading to Metronet’s multi-gigabit speeds may call Customer Care at 1-855-977-4609.

“Metronet has been on a mission to ensure that the underserved communities have access to ultra-high-speed fiber optic internet, further improving the way we keep in touch with friends and family, work and learn, and stream and game online,” said John Autry, Metronet Regional Sales Manager. “With access to a reliable, multi-gigabit infrastructure, Berea’s residents and businesses have the opportunity to scale to higher speeds on a reliable infrastructure that will support the community well into the future.”

Residents and businesses throughout Berea have access to the fastest symmetrical speeds available. According to data from Ookla® Speedtest Intelligence®, Metronet is ranked the “Fastest Internet Service Provider in Kentucky.” In the coming months, other communities throughout Metronet’s 16-state service area will join Berea with access to multi-gigabit speeds. Those interested in upgrading may visit metronet.com to check service availability for their address.
