SharePower Platform Awarded Prestigious Recognition by Environment+Energy Leader

Groundswell Receives 2024 Top Product of the Year Award in the Software + Cloud Category

WASHINGTON, DC / ACCESSWIRE / April 23, 2024 / Groundswell, a nonprofit that builds and operates clean energy projects that cut energy burdens in half, is thrilled to announce that its SharePower community solar subscriber management platform has been honored with a 2024 Top Product of the Year Award in the Software + Cloud category of the Environment+Energy Leader Awards program.

SharePower by Groundswell uses an innovative approach to community solar, allowing subscribers to purchase clean energy from a local community solar project and share solar power and savings with their income-qualified neighbors. This recognition underscores Groundswell's commitment to supporting subscribers in making a difference for their community and the environment through their SharePower.

"The SharePower platform allows Groundswell to deliver clean energy programs that push boundaries and create solutions to cut electricity bills in half for low- and moderate-income households," said Rashad Williams, Groundswell Director of Subscriber Services. "Environment+Energy Leader's recognition is truly a program highlight, not just for the acknowledgment itself, but also as a testament to the possibilities that can emerge when we combine innovative technology software with dedicated customer service."

The SharePower Platform has allowed Groundswell to manage solar subscriptions to more than 6,500 low- and moderate-income subscribers. To date, subscribers under management through the SharePower platform have saved more than $8 million.

"Joyful service is one of Groundswell's core values, and SharePower enables our team to put our values into practice by keeping people at the center of our community solar programs," commented Michelle Moore, Groundswell's CEO.

Environment+Energy Leader's recognition of SharePower signifies a remarkable achievement in the field.
