Weyerhaeuser Company is filing this amendment to its Current Report on Form 8-K filed on April 22,
2008 which reported the appointment of Mark A. Emmert to the Board of Directors of the company. At
the time of his election, no determination had been made regarding committees of the Board on which
Mr. Emmert would serve. On August 21, 2008, the Board of Directors appointed Mr. Emmert to serve
on the Audit Committee and the Corporate Governance Committee.
