Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On March 13, 2010, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Symantec Corporation (the “Company”) effected the following changes to its committee memberships, with such changes to be effective as of the start of the Company’s fiscal year beginning on April 3, 2010: (1) William T. Coleman shall cease to be a member of the Compensation Committee and shall become a member of the Audit Committee; and (2) Stephen M. Bennett, who was appointed to the Board effective February 8, 2010, shall become a member of the Compensation Committee.
