The following information is furnished pursuant to Item 9, “Regulation FD Disclosure.” On August 22, 2003, VF Corporation issued a press release announcing the expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, relating to the previously announced purchase by VF Corporation of David Chu and Company, Inc.’s rights to receive 50% of the net royalty income from licensing the Nautica trademark. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and hereby incorporated by reference.
