Item 8.01. Other Events

During 2008, the European Patent Office allowed a European patent owned by Pilkington Automotive GmbH.  On 28 October, 2009, Southwall Technologies Inc. (“the Company”) entered into a license agreement with Pilkington Automotive Deutchland GmbH, Wetten for all pending patent matters.
