Item 8.01. Other Events.
On July 15, 2014, Hospitality Properties Trust, or the Company, issued a press release announcing that it will redeem all of its outstanding 51/8% Senior Notes due 2015 at a redemption price equal to the principal amount of $280.0 million, plus accrued and unpaid interest to the date of redemption. This redemption is expected to occur on or about August 15, 2014. A copy of the Companys press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
