Shapiro Chairman of the Board (805) 581-4000, Ext. 200 PERFECTDATA'S COMMON STOCK DELISTED FROM NASDAQ SIMI VALLEY, California, April 15, 2003 - PerfectData Corporation (NASDAQ:PERF) announced today that, effective with the opening of trading on Thursday, April 17, 2003, its Common Stock will be delisted from The Nasdaq SmallCap Market. The Common Stock will immediately be eligible for quotation on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol "PERF," the same symbol under which the Common Stock was traded on Nasdaq. The Company noted that, as previously reported, the Company was not in compliance with two Nasdaq Market Rules, i.e., not having a shareholders' equity in excess of $2,500,000 and its bid price being below $1.00 per share.
